How We Got Started
Terry Burgoon had an interest in Jeeping
and found a place to go that was only an hour away. His first
adventure was Frost Bite 2006 at Mapleton, KS. He enjoyed it so
much he invited his new brother-in-law, Ron Osborn. Ron had an
absolutely fabulous time that he wants to go all the time. We both
joined an off road club to be able to spend time with others that
shared our same interest.
We wanted to share in the fun so we started
inviting members from our church that we felt would also enjoy the
fun. Rob Angermayer was one that went with us. Rob was hooked
after the first time and immediately bought his own rig.
After the first time, Rob felt the urge
that a Christian club would be needed but kept it to him self.
After several more outings he revealed his thoughts to Ron. When
sharing with Terry it was decided this was a need and a desire.
We all felt led by the Spirit of God and He
has been opening doors and putting things in place ever since. We
believe this is Gods work and we are just blessed to be involved.
After getting together and discussing our
plans further the idea continued to grow. While gathered at a BBQ
one afternoon the idea manifest from a drawing on a napkin.
